About Me

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 10 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, children, young children 0-5 and families. My style is a direct, solution-focused and strength-based approach.

I obtained my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in Psychology. I then earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, an American Psychological Association accredited program.

My training included year-long rotations in the following settings: community mental health clinics, a substance abuse residential treatment center and home visiting programs. I completed my internship at Children’s Hospital Oakland where I worked with children and families.

I am a bilingual and bicultural Latina psychologist and was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. I immigrated to the United States as a young teenager and am personally familiar with issues of immigration, adjustment, culture shock, acculturation and bicultural identity formation.
